Ivonne CookTaylor and Japreece Dean might have found a solution for the Texas Tech Lady Raiders’ shooting woes – getting an off to a fast start.
The duo combined for 37 points and led Tech to a 54-44 win over Kansas on Saturday at United Supermarkets Arena.
The Lady Raiders (11-10, 2-8 Big 12) put the last three losses (Kansas State, Oklahoma and Baylor) behind them early. After combining to score only 15 points in the first quarter of those losses, Tech put up a healthy 17 on the scoreboard in the first quarter against Kansas (5-16, 0-10).
