Editor's note: This is the fifth of a five-part series examining issues surrounding the 2019 Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Texas Tech faces a tough issue as it needs to fill in key positions in the secondary. The Red Raiders graduated Jah'Shawn Johnson, Vaughnte Dorsey, John Bonney and Kisean Allan -- a quartet that saw the most time at safety the last couple of years.
Johnson was the biggest lost on defense -- despite being limited to nine games last year -- and finished fifth among the teams leading tacklers with 55. Dorsey tied Johnson in tackles and is another player that will need to be replaced.
