The Texas Tech Red Raiders return to Lubbock to host Oklahoma State on Saturday to open Big 12 play. Texas Tech is coming off a 27-24 win over Houston on the road. Here are three take aways from head coach Kliff Kingsbury's comments on Monday's Big 12 teleconference.
Creating turnovers
The Red Raiders are No. 2 in the country in turnover margin. Against Houston, Texas Tech forced five turnovers, including two interceptions of quarterback Kyle Allen. It's big progress for a defense that was one of the worst in the country last year.
Kingsbury said turnovers will help Texas Tech stay competitive in the high-powered Big 12.
