Texas Tech is going dancing in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Red Raiders were announced as the No. 8 seed in the Midwest bracket for 68-team NCAA men’s basketball tournament on Sunday.
Texas Tech faces Butler, the No. 9 seed in the Midwest.
It is the first time the Red Raiders have advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
The Big 12 had seven selections in the tournament. While the Big 12 had seven teams in the tournament last season, only two teams — Oklahoma and West Virginia — advanced to the Sweet 16.
