A-J: Was it an internship you did this summer with the LPD?
Nelson: Yes. I did an internship with the Lubbock Police Department. I started the end of June. I shadowed a detective, got to help him with his daily stuff, interviewing victims, stuff like that.
A-J: Did you get to ride in the police vehicles?
Nelson: Detectives have undercover cars, so I was in an undercover car with him the whole time. We did make a few stops, so I got to see him actually in action.
