There were numerous heroes for Texas Tech in its 59-44 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday. The win was only the second ever in the month of November for head coach Kliff Kingsbury in his three years on the job. It was also Texas Tech’s first Big 12 victory over a team other than Kansas or Iowa State since winning in Morgantown, West Virginia on October 19, 2013.
But most importantly, the victory secured a bowl birth for the Red Raiders. After missing out on postseason play last year, this season had to end with a bowl game appearance to show that the program is moving forward.
