The Texas Tech basketball team appears to have averted disaster in the form of another injury to one of its big men. Despite suffering what looked to be a potentially serious eye injury during Texas Tech’s road loss to Texas on Saturday, junior forward Matthew Temple is set to be in the lineup tomorrow against Iowa State.
In Austin, Temple was making his fifth-consecutive start in place of injured sophomore forward Norense Odiase who is out indefinitely with a broken foot suffered January 18th at TCU. Against the Longhorns, Temple was off to one of his best starts of the season scoring four points and collecting two rebounds in the first eight minutes of the game.
