Alan Bowman is tough.
Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury handed the former Grapevine High School football standout the keys to the Red Raiders’ high-flying offense when former starter McLane Carter went down with an ankle injury.
Since then, Bowman has lead his team to a 3-2 record, which includes a big win over then-No. 15 Oklahoma State in Stillwater.
But during his team’s 42-34 loss to No. 12 West Virginia last Saturday, Bowman sustained a hit that resulted in a partially collapsed lung.
On Wednesday, Kingsbury stated that he expects Bowman to “rejoin us on the field soon.
