For the Texas Tech football team to return to respectability and reach a bowl game in the first year of the Matt Wells area, quite a bit is going to have to fall the way of the Red Raiders. Perhaps we can expect that to happen next year because, after all, it didn’t seem like Tech caught many breaks in the final season of the ill-fated Kliff Kingsbury era.
For the first time since I began paying attention to Tech football in my freshman year of 1999, the Red Raiders were forced to rely on three different quarterbacks with each starting at least two games in 2018.
