Every Texas Tech football season feels like a stomach-churning roller coaster ride full of unforeseeable twists and turns. 2018 has been no exception.
After staring on a low with the loss to Ole Miss, Tech saw its fortunes rise en route to a 5-2 start. By beating Oklahoma State for the first time in nine games and knocking off rival TCU with its backup quarterback, the Red Raiders appeared poised to have a strong finish in the Big 12.
But in the past three weeks, the bottom has fallen out. Losses to Iowa State, Oklahoma and Texas have the Red Raiders reeling and still searching for their sixth win to earn bowl eligibility.
