Sandwiched between a rivalry game against TCU and a revenge game against Iowa State, this week’s game against Kansas has all the markings of a classic trap game for the Texas Tech football team.
The Jayhawks come to Lubbock still showing no indication of climbing out of the Big 12 basement in the fourth year of head coach David Beatty’s tenure. Thus far, Beaty has managed to lead KU to just five wins in three-plus years, and his winning percentage of .11 is appreciably worse than that of the two men that preceded him in Lawrence, Charlie Weis and Turner Gil.
