Coming off an important win over Houston to end the non-conference portion of the 2018 schedule, the Texas Tech football team now turns its attention to Big 12 play. Unfortunately, conference play begins with a tough road test in a stadium that has been a nightmare for the Red Raiders, Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Texas Tech has not won a road game against Oklahoma State since Kliff Kingsbury was a junior in 2001. During the current losing streak, Tech has found ways to lose close games (such as in 2007 when Michael Crabtree dropped a potential go-ahead TD pass in the fourth quarter or in 2016 when a missed Clayton Hatfield extra point resulted in a one-point loss) causing Red Raider fans to hate the thought of another trip to Stillwater.
