It is homecoming week in Lubbock and in an even-numbered year, that means the Kansas Jayhawks are headed to town. The Texas Tech football team is looking to put together consecutive Big 12 wins for the first time since 2015 and given that the Jayhawks have only beaten the Red Raiders once in 19 all-time meetings, that streak appears likely to come to an end this week.
It is hard to imagine but just ten years ago, KU was one of the better football programs in the conference. In fact, to open the 2008 season, the Jayhawks were actually ranked higher than the Texas Tech team that featured Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree.
