Naturally, the biggest name in any college football program is the head coach. But the assistants that a head coach surrounds himself with are just as critical to a program’s success.
New Texas Tech football head coach Matt Wells has completed his first staff and he seems to be confident that the system he ran at Utah State will be successful in the Big 12. Eight of his assistants were with him last year in Logan, Utah were they guided the Aggies to a 10-2 regular season.
And by bringing in a ton of familiar faces, Wells has bucked a popular trend in the Big 12.
