New Texas Tech football head coach Matt Wells has cleared his first hurdle by navigating the December early signing period with a representative class still in tact. He and his coaching staff spent nearly three-straight weeks on the recruiting trail trying to keep this class together ahead of this week’s window and their work yielded as good of results as could be expected.
Tech signed eleven players this week, which is second fewest in the Big 12 (ahead of only Kansas) meaning that the story of this class will not be told until the traditional signing day in February.
