Each fall, fans and experts alike look at the number of returning contributors on any given team as a barometer of how well that team is positioned for the upcoming season. For the Texas Tech football team, that might be an indication that 2019 could be a success.
On offense, the Red Raiders return seven full-time starters including four along the offensive line. Of course, the headliner is sophomore QB Alan Bowman who put up 2,638 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2018 as a true freshman in what amounted to seven full games (he played six full games and the first half of two others).
