Texas Tech featured on the cover of DCTF
Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury and Patrick Mahomes II are featured on the summer cover of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine, the publication announced Wednesday as part of its unveiling of the 2016 edition.
The Red Raiders’ appearance on the 57th edition of “the bible of Texas football” marks their first appearance on the cover since 2008. The style of the magazine is a nod to the iconic 1963 cover of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football featuring Texas coach Darrel K Royal and quarterback Scott Appleton.
“It’s been a long time since there were this many compelling characters in the Lone Star State,” DCTF managing editor Greg Tepper said.
