Losing in Austin is never fun. It’s even less enjoyable when it happens in blowout fashion, which is unfortunately what occurred for the 4-8 Red Raiders. The team got out to a 14-0 lead, but were outscored 49-10 after that point despite only getting out-gained by around 100 yards during that stretch. There were some bright spots, namely the great play of Erik Ezukanma and KeSean Carter, but a lot went wrong. Let’s take a look at how the game unfolded:
First quarter:
A stop at midfield on the first drive for Texas left the offense with a chance to seize momentum early, and they capitalized on an 80 yard drive capped by a 13 yard KeSean Carter touchdown reception from Jett Duffey.
