Texas Tech had opportunities.

But, the Red Raiders again struggled to drive in runs when they had the chance and fell 3-0 to Texas on  Friday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Tech was 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position and left 12 runners on base, including leaving the bases loaded in the second inning.

Neslony walked to lead off the inning the Gutierrez and Burleson followed with singles, but Michael Davis struck out and Tyler Floyd hit into a fielder’s choice at second base to end the threat.

The Red Raiders (27-20, 10-9 Big 12) also had runners on first and second in the third, fourth and fifth inning, but failed to come up with a hit.
