MANHATTAN, KS — For a team trying to prove it belongs, the Red Raiders tried to make a statement with another team’s style.
Texas Tech couldn’t keep up with the Wildcats in transition or cool their hot shooting Tuesday night in Bramlage Coliseum as Kansas State got its first Big 12 win of the season, 83-70, over Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders got off to a slow start, while it seemed the Wildcats couldn’t miss.
In the first half, Kansas State shot 62 percent from the floor and held a 16-point lead.
A week ago, the Red Raiders executed their halfcourt defense well, defending the drives and keeping their opponent out of the paint.
