Texas Tech falls at No. 10 West Virginia 90-68

MORGANTOWN, W Va. — “Press” Virginia is suffocating and relentless.

Getting past the initial pressure in West Virginia’s full court press only means more waves are coming in the half court.

While the Mountaineers’ activity and energy on the defensive end lead to multiple deflections and steals, the defensive havoc also causes costly miscommunications.

Texas Tech finished with four more buckets than turnovers en route to a 90-68 loss to West Virginia at WVU Coliseum Wednesday night.

It seemed as if the Red Raiders might fare better than normal against “Press” Virginia.

On Texas Tech’s first possession, Toddrick Gotcher was trapped at half court but found a wide open Justin Gray under the basket for the easy two points.
