Texas Tech’s midweek woes just keep getting worse.
One day after losing to Grand Canyon in extra innings, the Red Raiders dropped a second game to the Antelopes, who were No. 158 in latest RBI rankings.
Grand Canyon scored six runs in the eighth and ninth innings as it defeated Texas Tech, 10-5, on Wednesday at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
It was the seventh midweek loss of the year for the No. 21 Red Raiders (27-19), whose RPI has dropped into the 70s and is in danger of missing the NCAA tournament, one year after making the College World Series in Omaha.
