ARLINGTON - The Texas Farm Bureau Shootout between Texas Tech and Baylor lived up to its name last year, when the two schools put up a combined 1,300 yards of total offense in a Red Raiders victory.
The result remained the same in this year's matchup at AT&T Stadium, but without the same offensive fireworks. Texas Tech beat Baylor 38-24 and snapped a four-game losing streak with the help of four turnovers created by its defense.
The same defense was the worst in the country last season statistically.
"Some of those guys are growing up," Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said.
