Texas Tech has now won 10 games in a row as the Red Raiders defeated New Mexico 7-4 Tuesday night at Santa Ana Star Field.
The win gives Texas Tech its third-straight 30 win season (30-9).
The Red Raiders never trailed as their offense went to work quickly.
Trey Ochoa doubled down the right field line and later crossed home plate off a triple by Tanner Gardner.
Gardner, however, was stranded 90 feet away from the plate as Cory Raley lined out to shortstop and Eric Gutierrez grounded out to the pitcher.
The Red Raiders added to their lead the next inning.
