We’ve reached the metaphorical half-way point of the Texas Tech basketball season. Sunday, the No. 23 Red Raiders finished the non-conference portion of the season (with the exception of the Kentucky game on January 25th) with a 73-58 win over Cal State Bakersfield in Lubbock.
It was far from a dominant showing as once again, Chris Beard saw his team have to absorb an opponent’s best shot. That’s not going to change this year nor as long as Beard has the Red Raiders in the national conversation.
Thus, Tech has had to learn how to bring their level of play up as games have worn on.
