When Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard took over the Red Raider program in 2016, he immediately set out to overhaul the roster. One of the first additions he made was bringing in big man Tommy Hamilton IV.
Hamilton spent three years at DePaul before transferring to Texas Tech. After sitting out last season due to NCAA transfer rules, Hamilton has carved out an important niche for himself in the Red Raider’s rotation.
The 6-foot-11 Chicago native has been an effective stretch forward in the Texas Tech motion offense. He has proven to be a reliable three-point threat knocking down 25 of 66 attempts from deep.
