There was a time when Texas Tech and Arkansas were conference rivals back in the days of the Southwest Conference. The teams have split the all-time series 39-39 with Arkansas owning wins in six of the last seven meetings.
The last time the Red Raiders and the Hogs met was in 2016, a 75-68 overtime win in Fayetteville. But in Lubbock, the Red Raiders hold a 23-11 edge. However, this will be the first time since 1991 that Arkansas has come to the South Plains.
Overall, Arkansas is 11-7 in head coach Mike Anderson’s eighth season. He has taken the Hogs to the NCAA Tournament in three of the past four years but a third-straight trip this year seems unlikely.
