Saturday’s 73-62 loss to Baylor was one of the most disappointing efforts of the Chris Beard era. The Texas Tech basketball team was significantly outplayed in nearly every aspect of the game by a team that has lost two home games to mid-major programs this year and was without its best player.
It was the first time this year that Tech played what most would consider a clunker of a game. But it is hard for any team to go an entire season without having a truly poor showing.
Last year, Tech had a number of awful outings, though most have forgotten about them because of the program’s first ever Elite 8 run.
