Texas Tech has won four straight with a series sweep over Baylor and a midweek victory at Abilene Christian (7-6) on Tuesday.
Now, though, it has to visit the state of Kansas, where the No. 19 Red Raiders have lost their last six games, getting swept by Kansas last season and Kansas State in 2013. In fact, Tech has lost seven straight games to Kansas State on the road, while suffering series sweeps in 2011 and 2013.
Friday, Tech (24-13,7-5 Big 12) will look to reverse that trend when it hits the road in Big 12 play for the first time in a month to face Kansas State (17-18, 4-8) at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas.
