Texas Tech Baseball gets a Space City Sweep

This past weekend the Texas Tech Baseball team was participating in the annual Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic against Texas State, Sam Houston State, and Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The Red Raiders left Houston with three wins and no losses on the weekend thus moving to a record of 8-3 on the year and add to their winning streak which is now up to eight straight games.

On Friday, Tech beat Texas State by a score of 8-4. Hayde Key picked up the win in three innings of relief, while starter Brandon Birdsell went four and two thirds innings giving up four hits and three runs throwing 72 pitches.
