The Texas Tech baseball team has advanced to the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament after going undefeated this weekend. In outscoring Army and Dallas Baptist 17-4 in three games, the Red Raiders are headed to the Supers in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history.
But what made this weekend’s action rather unusual was that the Red Raiders did not benefit from huge days from some of their best players. In fact, many of the team’s most dangerous weapons had little impact in the regional.
While All-American Josh Jung hit .500 going 5-10 at the plate, he did not have an RBI all weekend.
