Out of respect for the victims of the Oklahoma State homecoming parade tragedy, the Texas Tech administration is asking that Texas Tech fans refrain from using the phrase “Wreck ‘Em” when referring to Oklahoma State.
Prior to last week’s game versus Kansas, the Oklahoma State homecoming parade was coming to an end when Acadia Chambers, age 25, drove her car into a group of spectators killing four people (including a two-year-old child) and injuring at least 46 others. Full details of the incident can be found here.
Texas Tech normally uses the hashtag #WreckEm to promote upcoming athletic events on social media.
