Texas Tech senior infielder/outfielder Hunter Hargrove, a graduate of Mansfield High, is among four semifinalists for the inaugural Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award, the selection committee announced Wednesday.
The award, created by the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation, was open to nominations from all Division I baseball programs in Texas.
The other semifinalists are Rice sophomore catcher Dominic DiCaprio, Houston junior infielder Jake Scheiner, and Texas A&M freshman infielder Braden Shewmake. All four semifinalists batted .337 or better in the regular season and led their respective schools in numerous offensive categories.
Hargrove was a two-time all-district and two-time all-state player for the Tigers.
