Jonathan Giles ranks among the top 20 receivers in the FBS this season for catches, yards and touchdowns, but he played only a little Saturday at Iowa State.
Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury indicated Monday there was nothing wrong with Giles, other than Keke Coutee making a better impression lately.
“We just felt like Keke had done a great job practicing and felt like Jonathan had some things he’s got to work on and contribute more to this team,” Kingsbury said. “We know he’s a great pass catcher, can do some good things with the ball in his hands, but there’s things away from the football that he’s got to continue to work on.
