Behind the scenes
Texas Tech brought in 18 scholarship newcomers this season, about half of whom have already played. Over the next several days, we’ll update the progress of freshmen who are redshirting and some other young players for whom Tech coaches have expectations.

Background: Felton rushed for almost 1,800 yards and 11 touchdowns on a 2-8 high school team two years ago, signed with Tech in February 2014 and redshirted last season.
