FORT WORTH - For the next three weeks, get ready for the Hunger Games, Big 12 edition.
TCU did its part to set up a chaotic stretch drive with an 87-71 Saturday home win over Texas - the Horned Frogs' most lopsided victory over the Longhorns since 1987.
Coupled with Baylor's upset over Kansas and Oklahoma State's surprising victory at West Virginia, the Big 12 now has four teams (Baylor, Texas, TCU and Oklahoma State) tied for sixth at 5-7 in the conference.
"Head-shaking scores throughout," TCU coach Jamie Dixon said.
Of that four-team group, probably no more than two make the NCAA tournament if you assume the Big 12 is a seven-bid league and nobody in the top five collapses.
