Trevone Boykin calls the play “Pray.”
With 23 seconds left in the game on fourth-and-four, Boykin gets the ball and takes a few steps back before spotting senior receiver Aaron Green in the end zone.
He threw the ball up high because he was confident Doctson could out-jump anybody on the field.
But Doctson didn’t come down with it.
Instead, he tipped it to the back of the end zone.
“I thought it was over,” Boykin said.
Doctson knows the scheme of the final play.
The senior receiver knew he was usually the only receiver in that area of the field.
