Texas Tech is doing all it can to ensure that students and faculty members can watch the Red Raiders men's basketball team compete against Virginia for the program's first-ever national title on Monday.
University president Lawrence Schovanec, in a letter posted to Twitter Sunday, announced that Texas Tech had canceled all classes scheduled for after 5 p.m. CT Monday in addition to all classes scheduled for Tuesday. Classes will resume as scheduled on Wednesday, per the announcement.
Texas Tech punched its ticket to the national championship game with a 61-51 victory over Michigan State Saturday night in the Final Four.
