11th place on our roster countdown belongs to DB Vaughnte Dorsey, a senior DB from Cleveland, Mississippi. Dorsey came to Texas Tech from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he totaled 44 tackles, a sack, and an interception on his way to being named first team all division. Dorsey was a three star recruit on both Rivals and 247 Sports, choosing Texas Tech over the likes of Arizona State and East Carolina.
Dorsey stands at 5’11, 200 pounds, and has played a majority of his snaps at Tech at safety alongside Jah’Shawn Johnson.Dorsey’s size is prototypical for a safety coached by David Gibbs, and his ability to stop the run and play solid coverage makes him a good fit in a majority of defensive packages.
