AUSTIN -- After getting shut out by Texas on Friday night, Texas Tech coach Tim Tadlock said his team was due to break out offensively.
He was right.
Behind a grand slam by Stephen Smith and another dominant performance on the mound from Cameron Smith, the Red Raiders crushed the Longhorns 9-1 on Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Smith got the big hit, parking a 3-1 pitch over the head of the Red Raiders in the bullpen in left field.
But, it was the little one that set things up for Texas Tech (28-20, 10-9 Big 12).
