With just under five minutes to play, Texas Tech and TCU were tied 64-64.
The Red Raiders hadn’t been successful stopping the Horned Frogs on the defensive end. TCU was shooting better than 52 percent from the floor in the second half.
And it was mostly Vlad Brodziansky, the reigning Big 12 Player of the Week, doing the damage. But after Keenan Evans went 3-for-3 from the free-throw line with three minutes to play, the Red Raiders locked in down the stretch to hold off TCU 75-69 Wednesday night inside United Supermarkets Arena.
“It’s that four-to-one mentality,” Justin Gray said.
