Thomas’ night
Texas Tech inducted two-time All-America linebacker Zach Thomas into its football Ring of Honor just before kickoff of the Red Raiders’ home game Saturday against No. 16 Oklahoma.
All five members of the Ring of Honor joined Thomas at midfield, where he was presented with a framed jersey of his No. 35. The previous inductees were linebacker-center E.J. Holub, running back Donny Anderson, end Dave Parks and noseguard Gabe Rivera.
Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt established the Ring of Honor in 2012. All five members also are in the College Football Hall of Fame.
