Texas Tech men’s basketball coach Chris Beard has signed DePaul transfer Tommy Hamilton IV to a National Letter of Intent and Athletic Scholarship Agreement announced Tuesday morning.
Hamilton, a 6-11 center from Chicago, Illinois, spent his first three seasons at DePaul where he started 58 games in 92 appearances for the Blue Demons.
He averaged 8.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting 45.8 percent from the floor and 42.5 percent from the perimeter.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, Hamilton will sit out the 2016-17 season but will be able to practice with the Red Raiders.
