We wrap up this years preseason ranking of Texas Tech's top players. The list has featured more defensive players than one might have thought, but it does not stop there.
Here are the top five Red Raiders going into 2017.
No. 5 Da'Leon Ward / sophomore / running back
Ward became the starting back last season during his freshman year during the final stretch. He started in four games but participated in nine total. However, he still led the team in rushing. He was the first Red Raider to lead the team in the category his freshman year since Shaud Williams in 1999.
