Kliff Kingsbury wanted a role model.
After 10-year NFL veteran and former Texas Tech standout Manny Ramirez retired just a few months after signing with the Chicago Bears, Kingsbury got his wish.
Ramirez, who retired in early June, joined the Red Raider football program as director of player development, Kingsbury announced Monday morning.
“I knew he was trying to figure out what he wanted to do next, and he wants to coach,” Kingsbury said. “We felt like this was a great way for him to get his foot in the door and help us and help him.
