Texas Tech’s crowd is known for being the one of the rowdiest, crudest and most difficult to play in front of fan bases in all of college football.
One of the most popular Red Raider traditions? Throwing tortillas onto the field after the opening kickoff. Rumors have circulated that fans sometimes throw batteries at the opposing sideline, with one former OU player telling The Oklahoman in 2012 that the team had to keep their helmets on the whole game one year. Just last season, Tech fans threw bottles and trash onto the field after a loss to TCU.
