Career day
Texas Tech senior DeAndre Washington carried 22 times for career highs of 188 yards and four touchdowns Saturday in the Red Raiders’ 55-52 loss to No. 3 TCU. Along the way, he cracked Tech’s top 10 for career rushing yards, passing Shannon Woods and Donny Anderson into eighth place.
“I thought our O-line matched up well,” Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury said. “They (the Horned Frogs) obviously have some starters out up front, and they (Tech blockers) did a good job of getting push, and he ran great. Best game I’ve seen him play.”
Washington’s previous career high was 186 yards last year at Iowa State.
