LUBBOCK -- There were two pivotal games played on Monday night in the Big 12, and No. 8 Texas Tech (25-5, 13-4) did its part on its end to make things more interesting as we enter the end of conference play.
The Red Raiders defeated Texas 70-51 (16-14, 8-9) on Saturday at the United Supermarkets Arena to complete a Big 12 series sweep over the Longhorns. More importantly, Tech remains in contention for the Big 12 title.
The Red Raiders entered the game tied with Kansas State for first place at 12-4 in Big 12 play, and there wasn't much separation made at the end of the night in terms of records.
