No. 3 Texas Tech suffered their first loss of the season against No. 5 Kentucky on Friday night.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders took the lead early on in the game with a two-RBI double down the first base line from Young that allowed both Gabe Holt and Kurt Wilson to score. Holt scored again later in the game thanks to an infield single from Jung. Prior to tonight’s game, Holt’s hitting average was .429 with a single homerun and 10 RBIs for the season. His slugging percentage was .625.
