The Texas Tech Red Raiders face the Purdue Boilermakers Friday night inside TD Garden with an Elite 8 appearance on the line. The Red Raiders are looking to advance to the Elite 8 for the first time in program history. The Boilermakers were eliminated in the Sweet 16 last year by Kansas.
The Red Raiders beat Stephen F. Austin and Florida in the first two rounds of the tournament. Both games were close the entire way before Tech made key plays in crunch time.
The Boilermakers beat Cal State Fullerton and Butler to advance to the Sweet 16.
